10 Ton Single Girder Under Running Bridge Crane for Sale to Philippines
24 Apr, 2019
10 ton single girder under running bridge crane, is also referred to as underrunning, under hung or underslung bridge crane. Dongqi under running Types of cranes can allow you to maximize your facility’s floor space for production and storage of material because they are most commonly supported from the existing ceiling trusses or the roof structure. Under running bridge cranes are ideal for facilities that lack vertical clearance to install a top-running overhead crane system.
Under running bridge cranes typically use electric chain hoists or electric wire rope hoists but can be provided with a pneumatic hoist or a manual hand chain hoist. Load capacities up to 10 tons (standard configuration, special designs up to 16 tons available). Single girder under running crane is commonly used for assembly, fabrication shops, maintenance buildings, and manufacturing facilities, etc.
- Type: Under running bridge crane

Single Girder Under Running Crane Design:
Steel Construction:
- Dongqi single girder bridge crane can be engineered to meet customers’s detailed and special requirement.
- Both rolled structural shapes and welded plate box girder designs are used depending on design requirements.
- Box girders are fabricated from standard export steel.
End Carriage:
- The crane end carriages are manufactured from structural sections and are jig assembled to ensure alignment of bearings and axles.
- Dual motor bridge drives are standard. Other drive types are available upon request.
- Bridge to End Truck connections are bolted.
- Bridge wheels are flanged with anti-friction bearings.
- Rail sweeps and rubber bumper are standard on all end carriages.
Hoisting Machinery:
- The hoisting machinery consists of a standard wire rope hoist unit mounted on a low headroom type trolley.
- Motors are totally enclosed fan cooled, hoist duty with Class“F”insulation.
- Gears are precision machined from alloy steel and induction hardened. All gearing is enclosed in a rugged steel housing and is oil splash lubricated.
- Steel wire rope drums are precision machined.
- Rope drums are available in both single & double grooved configurations.
- Hoists are equipped with rope guides to prevent over lapping of the rope on the drum and to extend rope life.
- Upper and lower hoisting limit switches are standard equipment.
- The trolley is fabricated from structural shapes and plates to suit the application.
Motors:
- All motors are specifically designed for hoist and crane duty.
- All motors are totally enclosed fan cooled with Class“F”insulation.
Brakes:
- All trolley and bridge drive motors have disc brakes as standard equipment.
- All hoists have two braking systems, one control brake and one holding brake.
Controls:
- Each crane is controlled from a push-button station suspended from a track allowing the operator to remain clear of the load during lifting and traveling.
- Other types of controls such as infrared and cab controls are available.
- Contactors, fuses, transformers and other associated equipment are mounted in electrical cabinets to suit the applicable environment.
- All cranes are equipped with an emergency stop button that operates a mainline contactor shutting off the power to the crane.
Bridge Electrification:
- Bridge electrification is provided via a flat cable festoon system suspended from a track as standard equipment.
Surface Treatment:
- The crane steel structure is thoroughly wire brushed and finished with anti-corrosion paint.
Safety Devices (OPTIONAL):
- Overload Switch.
- Power Circuit Limit Switch.
- Rotation Warning Beacon.
- Anti-Collision Equipment.
- Runway Electrification.
- Travel Limits for Bridge & Trolley.
- Weighing Equipment.
- Variable Speed Control.
- Remote Control.
- Bridge Lights.
- Warning Horn or Bell.
- Other options are available on request.
- Single girder top running bridge crane with hoist.
- Hoist trolley can go underneath runway providing best end approach.
- System can be integrated into building design for cost saving on runway structure.
- Freestanding workstation bridge crane systems are especially rigid due to connection of columns to headers, and headers to the runway.
- Can be provided interlocking to another crane or monorail.
- Low headroom design especially with notched bridge beams taking advantage of the depth of the runway.
- Easier installation thus less install costs.
- Ease of maintenance.
Top Running vs. Under Running Bridge Cranes:
- Support structure: Under running cranes can be suspended directly from the roof structure or other overhead beam. top running cranes need independent columns to support the end trucks and the bridge beam.
- Capacity: As underslung cranes are suspended from the roof structure, they are available only on lighter capacities, usually less than 16 tons. The capacities of top running overhead cranes are much larger. The safe working load of top running cranes can even up to 550 tons.
- Configuration: Because of the light capacity, underslung bridge cranes usually adopt the single girder configuration, although double girder under running crane is also available in some special cases. But the top running overhead crane equipped with double girder is more frequent.
- Utilization of space. Something unique to under running bridge cranes is their ability to make full use of the available height and the tight space. They can ensure efficient material handling even in plant where very little space is available.
